Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) commencing September 2021 to August 2022

Hours 21 per week - Monday to Friday (mornings only)

Full time salary: £25,714 - £36,961 per annum

Pro rata salary: MPR: £16,615 - £23,882 per annum

Fernhurst Primary School is set in spacious grounds in the heart of the West Sussex countryside, where pupils have a strong sense of community with a set of shared values which underpin the life of the school and drive the curriculum.  The dedicated team of staff and Governors strive to create an environment in which every child is a happy and successful learner. The school, which was rated as “Good” by Ofsted provides a rich curriculum, enhanced by Forest School and opportunities to engage in sport, music and drama and to participate in village life.

You will have a secure knowledge of the national curriculum and be enthusiastic to join our dedicated and supportive team of staff.  Able to inspire, challenge and motivate pupils to excel, you will provide the support and encouragement needed as pupils establish a sense of their own self, gaining in confidence and acquiring lifelong learning skills. You will have high expectations for pupils’ achievement and the skills to differentiate teaching and learning for pupils of all abilities and needs, through current knowledge of best practice in learning and child development.

This maternity cover is a part time post working every morning with additional PPA time built into the contract.
