An exciting opportunity has arisen for a primary teaching assistant to be part of the schools journey and work in partnership with the new headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team.

We want to appoint people who are passionate about Primary Education and who are dedicated to promoting our school values. The positions will be to support the class teachers in the classroom, initially for 1 year but could be made permanent if circumstances change within the school.
We are looking for new colleagues to join us, who are confident, reflective and enthusiastic team players. The successful candidates will need to be competent and nurturing classroom practitioners who are able to support children´s academic, personal and social achievement. You will be enthusiastic and willing to contribute to the wider aspects of school life and be committed to working in partnership with parents/carers, governors and the local community to secure the best possible learning and teaching for all.
You will have a flexible, “can do” attitude and it will be obvious you take pride in your work. The successful candidate will need to be able to use their own initiative. You will have previous experience within a primary school or similar setting. You will need a good knowledge and understanding of how to support learning for children and building effective relationships with children, staff and parents. You will assist with reading, writing and number tasks, and other activities to support learning outcomes. With good interpersonal and communication skills, you will be organised, flexible and have the presence to inspire confidence and trust so as to develop and nurture independence. Previous experience with working with pupils with social, emotional and behaviour difficulties is desirable.
