ITT Lead

Portsmouth SCITT

Full Time (term time only considered)

Competitive Salary

Portsmouth Primary SCITT is an outstanding provider and is in the top 5 teacher training providers in the UK and offers bespoke school-based teacher training. With a reputation for exceptional retention rates, small cohorts enabling training to be personalised and 95% - 100% of trainees gaining employment on qualification, it provides a unique environment for trainees to qualify to teach.

Being part of the University of Chichester Academy Trust family, this is a new and exciting role to support the development of the SCITT and wider training needs.  As such we seek an exemplary practitioner who possesses excellent people skills and in doing so can both lead by example and take the lead on ITT curriculum innovation. You will also have experience of leading and bringing about successful improvement and the presence to inspire confidence, enabling others to feel empowered and motivated to achieve well.

You will have a high level of commitment to our entire partnership community and to developing and sustaining excellence in learning and teaching.  You must also have an ability to foster an open, innovative culture, which ensures it supports the needs of all our trainees and staff.

In return, you will be part of the University of Chichester Academy Trust, bringing you added benefits and opportunities, for example specialised professional development from practitioners through cutting edge research. You will find that each of our Academies has a unique identity, but a shared belief in creating a positive and enriching environment, where all staff feel valued.
