Do you want to teach beautifully behaved, curious children in a happy, supportive environment where the needs of the children are at the heart of everything the school does? If so, join our highly successful and committed team at Kingsham Primary School!
An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen from January 2026 to be part of an excellent staff team who work closely together to get the very best education for every child. It is a fixed-term position to cover maternity leave for a Year 1 class until the end of the academic year.
As an inspiring Class Teacher, you will be joining our school at a time when outcomes for children match or exceed the national average and the curriculum provides incredible opportunities for all children. With strong leadership, clear vision and a Journey to Excellence plan for the school and staff, you will benefit from being part of a Trust that is known locally and nationally for its excellence in teacher development.
We ensure we build excellent relationships with every child. Our recent Ofsted inspection identified that: "Staff on the gate and at the classroom doors greet pupils by name and with a welcoming smile. They are ready to hear what is going on in pupils’ lives beyond school, answer parents’ and carers’ questions and sort out any worries.”
Able to inspire, challenge and motivate pupils to excel, you will provide them the support and encouragement they need as they establish a sense of their own self, gaining in confidence and developing vital life-skills. You will have the skills to adapt teaching and learning for pupils of all abilities and needs, through current knowledge of best practice in learning and child development.
Applications are welcome from experienced teachers and teachers in their first few years of teaching who would like to be part of our school, helping pupils to develop and progress in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment.
The School is part of the University of Chichester Multi-Academy Trust family. Each academy has a unique identity, but a shared belief of creating a positive and enriching environment, where all staff feel valued and proud to be part of the Trust. As a Class Teacher, you will have access to opportunities for professional development and to current research and support from experts in effective strategies for child learning and development.
At the University of Chichester Academy Trust, we believe that diversity drives creativity, innovation, and excellence.
